What can I do?

Well, you could just keep on paying them. Sound like a good idea? I didn't think so...

Now I'm no solicitor, but I am not aware of ANY cases when Iomart have actually taken anyone to court. They threaten too, but it seems their 'lawyers' may actually be a disguised company working from one of their offices. They are just bullying people. I have also heard (unverified) stories that this company may send our fake court summons'.

Some people contacted the BBC's Watchdog program but they won't get involved as these are "business to business" contracts and Watchdog is for consumers only (although there are actually cases appearing now of individuals being duped). Shame as I'd quite like to meet Julia Bradbury.

Complain to your local trading standards office - the more people that do the bigger the likelihood of them passing the matter to the OFT. For that matter, complain to the OFT too. You can now also complain to www.econsumer.gov

My advice is to issue proceedings, which you can do fairly cheap here with the government (I think prices start at about £50). As long as you have the paperwork and know your case, you can file online and probably never have to attend court. Actually, some people have done this and Iomart have settled in full out of court.

GOOD LUCK - and let me know how you get on!!
